Remembering the Days

Hello, my name is Sarah, and I will be your blog buddy for today. :D
Remember those good ole’ days when you were a kid and everything was right and everything seemed fun, exciting and amazing. I miss them even though I’m barely grown up I still miss them. I wish I was born in the days where everyone was nice and you could walk down the street without any worries and I want to do that because my mother is paranoid that something will happen to me. I can’t even walk with my boyfriend to McDonald’s right down the street, oh well. So anyways back to the point, additionally what happened to the days when everything was cheap? Everything is so overpriced now a days and do you know, to spark your thinking and such, that a gallon of milk is more expensive that a gallon of gas! I mean if you think about it the gas prices aren’t that bad, but still we get more than one gallon of gas in a week. My parents always talk about how everything was cheap back in the days, how great was that. Imagine if those prices were still the same, we wouldn’t be in this great depression, well maybe we would because the salaries would be low as well, so scratch that.You know what else I miss, the kid television shows they had, all of the ones now suck and are super corny, like cornier than before! Is that even possible? Like one thing that I just realized changed was they took off Face from Nick Jr. he was my favorite, he was super cool, changing colors and having super raw facial expressions. Damn, how sad they took him off what were they thinking! Also with Steve on Blue’s Clues, they can’t just change him, he was a legend, who cares if he was getting old or was on drugs, everyone is on drugs! I also miss the music, I like the music of today, but back then it was so cool and I don’t know how to explain it but no one now makes music like then. It’s so sad, it’s like no one has the talent to do it anymore, or maybe they don’t have the guts too! Yeah, it’s sad how everything has changed when it used to all be so good, because the music was jammin’ and groovy.
The present isn't all that bad though, I mean we have high tech computers and smart phones and washers and dryers that read minds! There are good things now and good things from back then, only if they were combined. Now we just have to wait what's in store for us in the future. *twilight music* Mwahahahaha.

Slang: An Abuse

Sarah here once again.
Doesn't it bother you when you're talking to someone via instant messenger, text or email that they use incorrect and silly grammar/spelling? It bothers me very much so! I just got a full keyboard phone and I've been lazy and been putting "u" instead of "you" but that's basically it, shortening words. The thing that really makes me frustrated is when someone uses "your" instead of "you're", it's like are you retarded! I always correct people, my boyfriend used to do it all the time and I'd correct him and now he fixes himself. (: I also fixed the grammar of my one friend she used to talk all like "hey wuts up? dnt u no dat she did dat!" and since I talked to her all the time she uses correct grammar and even the apostrophes in don't, haven't and the rest of the conjunctions. What can I say, I just have that kind of affect on people. :D
You know what really wets my willys (hahaha I felt like saying that) when people use numbers and alternate from capital to lower like this, "H3y U wUtS ^?" It's ridiculous! What is the point it isn't really shortening anything you're practically putting in the same amount of keys, sheesh! I just saw that supermarkets have bad grammar too! Look at the picture, and if you don't understand why it is wrong go here, because I'll probably confuse you with my explanation. So to wrap it up, people have bad grammar, it's like this generation doesn't care and just throws around letters (and numbers) thinking they will make sense, which they don't. I don't know what is going to be of these people, will they ever learn how to talk and write? We must teach them, go on children and teach those less fortunate than us. Hehehehehe.

Absurd Diets

Hey it's Katie!

I was talking to my friend Elizabeth yesterday on the phone (shes really skinny, like Paris Hilton skinny). I asked her how she stays like that, she said that all she drinks is prune juice and she only eats white food. I was terrified (I mean who could live on prune juice and white food. I like my colors ;]). So after that whole conversation on skinny-ness (or for me skinny-less) I went online and looked up the "Color Diet" Its crazy, what did tomatoes and carrots do wrong!?! You cant eat them at the same time... If that makes any sense. I didn't really understand the whole process of it so here's the link- Color Diet

There is also a "Soup Diet"... I guess all you eat is soup? Just a guess. Now I think every fat person in America is on this diet, it's called the "Sweet Diet". That's the most absurd, who eats 3 candy bars, pie, and a soda then goes off to work out (pretty much everyone). Also there are the "No Food Diet" (I would die if i was on that one). And the "Prune Juice Diet", which took me to think, they must be in the bathroom 24/7 and man must it stink!
I rather stick to the regular watch my weight and exercise not risk my health to a diet.

Animals Have Rights Too You Know

Hey all, it's Katie!

I was walking my dog one day and I was thinking about how people do such cruel things to animals and I couldn't think of my dog being a victim. So I decided to speak out about it. I know my one voice cant do much, but one voice speaking out is better than no voices ever heard. So I started investigating on what people do to these animals. I was terrified! Do these people have souls?
I was watching the news and when i saw the cat murderer I was flabbergasted. He was only a teen. Where does he get this madness from? He would mutilate the poor cats. How would you feel if you wake up in the morning, get your cup of warm coffee and walk outside to get the paper and see your cat dead on your front porch. Horrible right?
Also I went to Peta2.com and saw the gruesome things they would do to these cows, chickens and pigs. They want you to support the animals by becoming a vegan (not that its wrong) but you can still eat meat and support animal rights, you just have to be aware of what's going on. Sometimes I wonder if this will ever stop? I mean in 20 years will this be resolved or will they be treating animals worse than they are now?

If animals could talk they would be able to speak up for themselves but since they cant, we have to do it for them, speak out for them.

Obsessive Networking

Yo, it's Sarah in the house! :P

Facebook and Myspace have taken over everyone's life! First it was Myspace, create a layout, post pictures, leave comments and messages. I was into the Myspace thing at first, leaving comments, counting my comments, adding everyone I recognized and more but now it's just a thing I use to keep in touch and see what people are up too. Also to tell you the truth I stopped getting comments and messages, but shh, no one needs to know. I then got a Facebook since more and more people were getting one, I don't like it that much it's creepy because everyone can see what you're doing, it's like the stalking network. You see what everyone is doing every second, like it even shows the posts people have made to each other. I mean it's great if you're trying to get dirt on someone or trying to find out where they live and stalk them, but besides that I think it's too personal and weirdly creepy. Facebook is also very plain, that's why I go on Myspace more because my profile is pretty and I can add my music and listen to it and all. My mother now has a Facebook, she likes it because it's pretty simple and she can keep in touch with everybody.
Twitter is now the big thing, everyone has one, well like businesses do and websites and celebrities, it is insane. I think it's pretty stupid though because all you do is post what you're doing right now, how pointless right? Well I guess most people think it's fun and I don't know, entertaining? Well I have one as well to see what all the fuss was about and I have logged on like twice and yeah it's boring. I think the little bird is cute though, don't you think? It's why better than Myspace's and Facebook's logos. I haven't seen many of my friends doing it yet, but I'm sure it's next on their to-do list. Tweet, tweet. How stupid, a tweet? You know the next level is having chips inserted in our brains and we just think to each other! I read a book about that once, Feed, it's pretty good I recommend it. But you know blogging and such is networking too, so I guess I'm going to be very obsessive. The first step is acceptance! (:

New Marlins Stadium

Hey all you Marlin fans, its Katie checking in!

Have you all heard of the new Marlins Baseball Stadium soon to be built? It looks pretty awesome! But really it's a hard earned money collector! The opening year is set to around 2012 , so its going to be a good 4 years before we get to eat the good old Cracker Jack at our favorite ball games. They need around 60-70 acres to build this thing and it will cost around $389 million for park construction and $525 million for total project. All that money is our tax money going to work for this so called "Super Stadium", I rather it be going to use to renovate State Parks or even children parks that need new swings or slides. Its opening up in Little Havana, so that's one good thing. Its close to where most baseball loving Floridians live. They are going to break ground on July 18th, can't everyone just not wait! And check this, there will be over 6,000 parking spaces... I didn't even think half as many people went to those games! But hey, at least we are cashing out the money now in this wonderful "Mini Depression" as some call it. And guess what! When we go to watch our favorite team lose we will have to pay more money just to get in the place!

Celebrity Talk

Sarah, reporting in.
I have been thinking about Michael Jackson's death and it baffles me how everyone loves him once again, saying how he was a pop sensation because lets not forget how they beat him down about molesting children, dropping kids out of windows etc. which the majority of us don't even know if it's true or not (I mean they have that one evidence of him holding his kid out a window :/). Everyone wanted him to go to jail and serve his term while he was alive but now that he is dead everyone forgot about it and he is on the top again. This past week on iTunes his tracks and even the Jackson5 songs were on the top 100, Michael Jackson having almost every place in the top 10.

This might happen to other celebrities who were at the top and have fallen, like Britney Spears. When she dies I believe the same thing will happen to her because we all know at the start of her career her songs made more sense, don't get me wrong I have her recent album, but we know she's not as good as she used to be after the drugs, a few boyfriends/husbands, the hairlessness and children. Talking about that I think her sister will go in a similar track as Britney, I mean she already has a kid, what a shame. She might go the bald route too.

Celebrity deaths are so dramatic though, like in the same day they die they have a special about their life and what they accomplished and what they failed at. They can't even get a rest from the press after they're dead. That's why I'd never like to be a celebrity because everyone would be in my business; writing down what I eat for each meal, taking pictures of me showering, video taping me dancing at some club, I wouldn't even be able to cheat because then everyone would find out and that defeats the purpose. :P Not saying I'd ever cheat on my boyfriend though.

I also believe Miley Cyrus will go down the drain even though people don't believe me because when they start out young in Hollywood they're done for! Like Lindsey Lohan, The Olsen Twins and everyone else. So just watch and I'll prove you all wrong!

The First Blog

This is the official first blog! :)
Both of us are writing this time, but every blog will be written by one of us. You will know which one it is because we will state it in the beginning and then sign our names at the bottom.
We don't really know what we will be writing about. One second we could be writing about vegetables and then we just switch to talking about clouds. Just expect the unexpected and try to keep up, we promise we won't disappoint you!
